To keep current and certified, we send our installers to the manufacturers’ installation classes and clinics.

What to expect during a flooring installation

We realize that a flooring installation is disruptive to your daily life. In order to lessen the disorder, here are some pointers for having the installation area ready to go:
  • Arrange your schedule to be on-site installation day; last minute decisions may require your permission
  • Keep children and pets from wandering into the installation area
  • Remove furniture, furnishings and appliances from the space; it’s important for your safety to have any propane or natural gas appliances disconnected and reconnected by a professional
  • Rip out the old flooring and dispose of it
  • Clear an area adjacent to the installation as a work area
  • Both areas should be kept at or above 65 degrees; there should also have power, lighting and access to water
  • Wood flooring may need to be delivered early in order to acclimate to where it is being installed

Flooring installation day

With all the pre-planning in place, the installers will be able to get right to work. One of the team will check through the flooring materials for damage and flaws. Once the flooring is checked, installation will begin.

When to installation is complete and our crew has cleaned up the site, we will walk with you through the installation for inspection. Should we find anything that needs adjusting, it will be seen to immediately. Bennett's Carpets, Inc. considers a flooring installation complete only when you are 100% satisfied.
